Visualization leads us to Realization

Based on Gen. 13:14-17
God first commands Abraham to Look and then to See.
When we look without intention or purpose, we don’t see. We don’t see what God wants us to see.
So, when we look (look at our lives and look at the people around us) we need to look with clear intention & purpose.
Knowing what to look for leads us to see. Often the problem with us is that we have no idea what to look for.
But Micah knew.
He boldly confesses, “but as for me, I will LOOK to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my sallvation, my God will hear me.” (Micah 7:7)
We need to look for God.
- God’s dream.
- God’s purpose.
- God in the situation.
- God’s providence.
With faith we need LOOK for His salvation.
As long as we’re looking a boy/girlfriend or a new job without this intent & purpose to see God and His salvation, we won’t find what we’re looking for.
So we’ll simply settle. Not for Something Great God had in mind. But something that just gets us by.
But when we look in faith, longing to see God and His salvation, our eyes open to His presence, His providence and His salvation.
We visualize our lives through His eyes and come to understand what will be realized & actualized in our lives.
Then the command God gives Abraham is pretty simple.
Arise, Go & Walk Through It! (Gen. 13:17)
After we see it, we’ll know that God will give us “every place that the sole of our feet shall tread upon” (Josh. 1:3).
Then, we’ll arise, go, conquer, inhabit & walk through it.
